Advocacy Pillar

Mission Statement

"To serve as the voice of the business community and maintain information flow for the Chamber members regarding Legislative issues and local issues possibly affecting their business."

Your Chamber depends on its Advocacy Committee to render a voice on behalf of business in Hernando County. This often includes a wide range of issues dealing with taxes, regulations, and working with local and state government departments to help fulfill our mission statement.

The committee is comprised of the membership at large that are involved in the community. The committee meets monthly, and reviews any requests from our membership for action items that are important to them. The committee also monitors local and state issues that could effect our local economy. Often seen at government meetings, members of the Advocacy Committee are actively seeking input and information that will help the Chamber be better prepared to help our business members.
